Desk Assembly

Oh, yes… hello. I’m coming to you live from a desk, with it’s accompanying chair that I actually assembled all by myself. Don’t think for a second that I wasn’t loudly saying the most vile curse words while assembling this new little office of mine, I totally was.

This desk is about the only thing that's at all put together in my life though, everything else… decidedly disassembled. I might need to be less negative, however. there are other folks telling me that i’m right where I need to be, despite the lack of stability and glossy finish.

when I assembled the desk, I wasn’t left with extra screws or any parts at all. everything in it’s right place.

maybe there aren’t any extra screws in the deeper metaphorical sense.

i’ve had an interesting time since I last sat down and got to typing. I lost my mind, and somehow relocated my mojo. whatever fear was blocking me from being willing to try to even lightly flirt with women is no longer there. I’m not trying to have some ego trip like i’m a pimp or something, here. i’m just saying I relocated a skill set that my younger self had, before he got the living daylights kicked out of him. It’s fun, that's all, it’s an exercise in the use of language. There’s someone who seems to be enjoying it as much as I am, despite all of my serious warnings, and i’ll just leave it at that.

I don’t have a long post in me, in fact i’m not even sure why i write at all. I just woke up from a pretty heavy nap and figured that I should take the desk a spin, why else would I have assembled it?

I just want to say: everyone has baggage, it’s more about deciding which bags are worth carrying.

I could use a cherry cola and a pack of smokes, if you feel like it: https://ko-fi.com/evr0ck17
