Oh, I have a kitchen table. I could bring my laptop to the table and type out a blog post for better posture. Let’s test it out.
I woke up at 4:30 this morning for no reason. I was going to try to fall back asleep, but it wasn’t happening, so I made some coffee and had a cigarette. I just started applying for jobs on Indeed; I must’ve applied to 15 of them. I’m going to do something with myself, god damn it.
A few hours passed since I wrote that and walked away from my computer. Now I have an interview with the people who give out those free cell phones you can get if you’re poor. It’s on the 24th. You know, I saw those people every day on Avenue D and in Union Square, and I thought to myself, “I could totally do that, bro.” Now, I’m going to try to do it, so we’ll see.
I really need two things that a job could provide if I were to land one. I need something to do with myself; I’m still going mental without that. I need money too; jobs are good for that. Let me go nail this interview; that would do a whole lot to improve my situation, which is kind of dire at present, although I keep my head up.
I may not have any money or purpose in life, but I’ve got oatmeal. Some of you expressed concern that I was finding oatmeal out of my price range at $6.00 for a box of 8 packets. Well, I found an 18 pack for the same price on the website I order my groceries from, and I bought 3. I gotta have oatmeal in the morning, always have. Plus, I got so much candy that it’s actually embarrassing.
I’m okay, man, don’t worry about me. I’ve had some rough times recently, but I’m still here to keep fighting the good fight and write blogs about the most mundane things there are, like the price of oatmeal. Hey, man… I got nothin’ today, but I wanted to get typing to see if it would take itself anywhere. It didn’t. Thanks for stopping by my little part of the internet, though.
