You know what’s happening out here in Jamaica, Queens? I don’t really know much about the rest, but here in Jamaica Queens, I am horribly lonely and isolated. Sure, I have failed to attend AA meetings because they’re all 7 miles away, which costs around 4 dollars for the train or bus ride. Going anywhere from this middle-of-nowhere neighborhood in Queens isn’t smooth; there are a few trains, but it’s mostly buses.
I know I could give more of the old college try and get to the meetings; we’ll just see. I often have only 10–20 dollars to my name, so do I really want to use 40 percent of all my money to take a mystery train to go to a meeting 6 miles away that might not even be there? And in my case, going alone…”
there has to be a smarter way to look at this situation, i just have not yet come up with one,’
also this coming week i will return for oupatient service and group therapy. i even spoke to mariano; my music therapist and mentor who said we could play 2 days a week instead of just the usual 1 night.
some things are coming along to help with the feel of lonliness, it was just the holiday week when i moved, so there wasnt much for me
