I feel like I haven't written in a while.

I’ve had a busy few days.

Yesterday I was going to my friend's house in Astoria and ended way out in it, super lost somewhere, and In Elmhurst for hours, just straight lost. I need a phone to get around out there… and I had lost mine somewhere, early in my journey. I didn't remember my friends address (it was in my phone) and I wasnt quite sure how to get home, either…. it’s like 3 subways to get out there. many bystanders actually weren’t helpful, I don’t know if I look crazy or what the issue was but It was hard to get help from random people on the street, like I always do. I always got lost in Queens when I lived on the street, and it made me think I hated Queens, I don’t hate it now. I love my neighborhood (S.Richmond Hill). There are some parts that are like boring and suburban, and everything looks the same, but a lot of the neighborhoods are cool and unique.

I was so sad that I had lost my phone, because A) I need it for everything and B) I can’t afford another one, not even a little. I didn’t know what I was going to do. I thought my world was ending, or I was going to have to crowdfund a smartphone.

Imagine my surprise when I found out that Google had tracked it , and I could lock it with a screen showing the number to my back up crappy government phone (from my Chromebook), and the guy who found it called me, gave me his address to pick it up…out in Corona, Queeens. I got myself together this morning and went for it out there. I remembered what it was like to just wander around looking at this city, with it’s neighborhoods like different countries with different cultures, some of which were made famous by people like Nas (Queensbridge).

Also, I got a job. Yes, a freelance job! I

The gig is evaluating AI responses.

I’m not 100% sure what, exactly that is…but there’s paid test to make sure I can do it, and if I pass…the gig is worth a couple grand at completion. If I don’t pass, I still make a few bucks.

It’s wonderful, how life can be sometimes. what are the chances of finding a lost phone in NYC, and getting a text about a job right after it?

“But the money comin’ slow….” Help a brother out:
