Manufacturing Consent (poem, 2012)
the conviction rate should never correlate with the bottom line
the security corporations are the only ones who profit from crime
so those that say that crime don't pay are not shareholders of bob barker
they're quick to raise a buck by keeping your ass in the locker
we've privatized warfare, privatized prison...what is the main factor that factors in board room decisions
It's Money
war on terror
war on drugs
criminal conduct by white collar thugs
your wife’s on Xanax
your kid’s on speed
they are addicted to the sickness
they are high on all the greed
they made money on your problem with Oxycodone
when its time for you to kick, they’re selling you suboxone
people occupy wall street, like it will do us any good
they’re selling guns drugs and liquor, just to occupy the hood
the profit motive is of malicious intent
they don’t ask for your permission
they’re manufacturing consent
