I saw in my scrolling that Target is going to stay closed on thanksgiving, so the employees can have the the day with their families. Aw that’s so sweet! Do the likes of Wal-mart and Target want a fuckin cookie and a hug? that’s like saying “hey I’m not gonna come over and shit on the floor”. the answer is “duh, why would you shit on the floor, you shouldn’t do that”.
I am a veteran of corporate retail black Friday. These companies don’t care about their employee’s family, they don’t even care about their employees. The big PR coverage angle is “we care, we’re with you, we’re a family”.
They do not care, they are not with you, you are not a family.
I guess its a nice guy move to stay closed on thanksgiving, but how many of these retail employees require food stamps and public assistance? my guess is a lot. So the thanksgiving thing is a nice PR move, but where are the real moves?
