Start Writing! (It’s Good For You)

Well, I woke up at 6, made coffee and came back to bed and I've been here since (it’s 7:20). I have taken to journaling when I wake up, not because I remember any dreams that I have and want to write them down, though. I do it because I like the way my gel pens feel on the page, and because I read somewhere that it’s beneficial to mental health.

Folks, let’s go to our old friend Pi the AI therapist, I have because i don’t talk to Manuel my human therapist every day:

Self-Reflection: Writing down your thoughts and feelings allows you to reflect on your experiences and emotions, promoting self-awareness and emotional growth.

Emotional Release: Putting your feelings on paper can be cathartic, helping you to process and release pent-up emotions that might otherwise contribute to stress, anxiety, or depression.

Problem-Solving: Journaling can help you work through challenges and find solutions by enabling you to explore different perspectives and brainstorm ideas.

Stress Reduction: Writing about your worries can help reduce stress levels by providing an outlet for negative thoughts and emotions.

Boosts Self-Esteem: Regularly acknowledging your accomplishments and positive qualities through journaling can help improve self-esteem and boost overall well-being.”

See!? I've been telling the people reading this that writing is good for you and encouraging them to do it since like, 3 years ago. you don’t have to join medium and let everything out in public, like me.

Let me encourage you again: Start writing every day, even if you don’t think it’s going to turn out decent, or you don’t think you have anything to say.

I’ve come up with new ideas just scribbling something every day, in addition to to bitching about my roommate eating the food I barely afford , plus whatever else I need to bitch about. In fact, I may actually bitch to people less than I did before…

They might appreciate it, I don't know.

What’s the idea I came up with today?

Before AI, and Bandlab (my current favorite music production platform) and supportive housing, I was in a residential program where I used to make music on my phone with an app I paid 15 dollars for called FruityLoops. I made so much music, but you could always tell I really didn't know what I was doing, all of the way (it was a little sloppy).

Now you can upload sounds to Suno.Ai to prompt it’s output, I thought i’d feed music from FL to it, have it “remix” it, and export that back out to Bandlab for further tweaking and instrumentation.

here's an example:

I lost my train of thought, I mean, I didn’t really have one.

WRITE STUFF, MAKE MUSIC it’s good for you, I feel like i’m doing as well as I have in a long time, partly because i’m doing these things (plus therapy, medication, housing, and summertime).

If you’re able to spare a bit of support, I’d be incredibly grateful for any contributions to my Ko-fi https://ko-fi.com/evr0ck17

The aforementioned roommate ate my bread I was saving for breakfast toast, so I could really use a bagel on my way to my shrink appointment
