Thinks Of Days Before Americans Came

I’m old enough to remember the lead-up to the invasion of Iraq; even at age 14, I was skeptical. I’m getting very “Saddam weapons of mass destruction” vibes from the media that manipulates us to support Israel. I read that 1 million Iraqis were killed in the neo-con, Dick Cheney farce “Iraqi Freedom.” Yeah, no one thinks Saddam Hussein was a great guy, but look at the power vacuum. If I’m Iraqi, and American bombs killed everyone I love, I’m joining ISIS. If I was forced from my home to a refugee camp where my mother, father, brother, and sister were killed by American munitions, via Israel, what do you think I’m going to do? Write a firm condemnation letter to Joe Biden? Fuck no, there’s going to be some violence.

Of course, I condemn Hamas, and ISIS, and Al-Qaeda. Of course, I do. C’mon man. You act like there’s no reason for them to exist, though. The United States can’t be the only one in the global community that’s allowed to commit unspeakable violent atrocities and expect that everyone is going to go along with it peacefully.

This country isn’t a sovereign nation because we talked it out with the English and spilled some tea. Our forefathers were anti-colonial guerrilla terrorists of their time. They conducted themselves as such. It’s not called the American friendly chat with the king. It’s the American Revolution; it’s the revolutionary WAR. People want their freedom from oppression, even if their skin isn’t pasty white.

How can you not draw a parallel to other colonized populations? How is it only permissible for Americans to be against a colonial occupation when it was 300 years ago?

We are now the colonizers, if not us then our allies with our interests, and like any good colonizers, our interests are primarily financial. It’s not the tea party; it’s things like those elements that are mined in Africa we need to build our iPhone 65s. Slaves dig up the silicon and copper, slaves turn the cobalt into microchips in China, and then we, the wage slaves, work two jobs to have our screens that manipulate us into consent for furthering this system. The more I think about it, the more I feel like I’m in Blade Runner or 1984.

Think about this before I either dump this post in the garbage or clean it up and let it rip. Who gets to label people terrorists, freedom fighters, revolutionaries, commandos, or even refugees? Who is it that decides who the good guys are? Once the decision is made, the machinery of the media shapes public opinion, our screens tell us who should die. before i shut up, ill just leave you with a talking heads song, that is about someone who we would probably label a “terrorist”, mojique.

Mojique Sees His Village From A Nearby Hill
Mojique Thinks Of Days Before Americans Came
He Sees(Serves) The Foreigners In Growing Numbers
He Sees The Foreigners In Fancy Houses
He Dreams Of Days That He Can Still Remember… Now.
Mojique Holds A Package In His Quivering Hands
Mojique Sends The Package To The American Man
Softly He Glides Along The Streets And Alleys
Up Comes The Wind That Makes Them Run For Cover
He Feels The Time Is Surely Now Or Never… More.
The Wind In My Heart
The Wind In My Heart
The Dust In My Head
The Dust In My Head
The Wind In My Heart
Tu Sei Sgangheraaa… At This Point
(Come To) Drive Them Away
Drive Them Away.
Mojique Buys Equipment In The Market Place
Mojique Plants Devices Through The Free Trade Zone
He Feels The Wind Is Lifting Up His People
He Calls The Wind To Guide Him On His Mission
He Knows His Friend The Wind Is Always Standing… By.
Mojique Smells The Wind That Comes From Far Away
Mojique Waits For News In A Quiet Place
He Feels The Presence Of The Wind Beside(Around) Him
He Feels The Power Of The Past Behind Him
He Has The Knowledge Of The Wind To Guide Him… On.
