Well, good morning…I guess, not really. In a stunningly predictable turn of events Donald Trump has won the presidential election. I don’t really feel like doing the autopsy on how useless democrats and liberals are for any kind of protection against the orange fascist. at least everyone has stayed firmly on brand, especially America as a nation.
In 2016 I remember blacking out out all of my profile pictures for all of the apps on the day after the election. That’s not what i’m going to do now. Now is the time to be seen and heard, not take our toys and run home.
I’m pacing around smoking cigarettes trying to gather myself and my thoughts. I’m trying to figure out what to do with all of this anger.
Later, I’m going to the Lower East Side today to hand out food to hungry people like me. At least I know what to do today, I planned it last week.
I’ve been thinking about love and compassion a lot. That’s got to be the foundation of resistance, and that’s where i’m going to start.
We have a long dark road ahead, we’re going to need to be light for each other.
