Yeah, I haven’t been posting much. Honestly, there’s just nothing noteworthy to report. I’m kind of situated in the middle of nowhere, just far enough that going anywhere becomes quite a project, costing at least $5 in public transportation. Sometimes, I do venture to Washington Square Park and take a stroll to Union Square, but I can’t justify taking an hour-long trip every day just to wander aimlessly around a different borough.
I live in the hood, man. It’s not particularly dangerous, just economically disadvantaged. Abandoned storefronts neighboring the Dollar General, that kind of setting. The most upscale establishment around here is Chipotle, situated across from the major train station.
I don’t know, man. I was striving to get here for about a year, anticipating the move (or any move), and now that I’m here, I’m at a loss. I don’t know what to do or what comes next. Should I try to secure a job? I’m unsure about my next steps, but at least my outpatient care and counseling sessions are starting up again soon. That’ll provide me with somewhere to be.
I wanted to give writing a shot, as it’s been a while, but I don’t really have anything new to contribute.
